Ban from Ban Hass – About me
I am a petite female born & raised in London. I am a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Cycle Teacher, Nutritional Advisor & Clown. I am a Peanut Butter addict.
I have a no bullsh*t approach to health, fitness & life. I am here to stamp out the nonsense. I am honest and realistic. I am most likely to say what a lot of people in the Health & Fitness industry are thinking or feeling but won’t necessarily dare to admit. I am here to provide a daily reality check, to remind you that it’s not always about rainbows and spirulina juices, and that you don’t really ever know what’s going on behind someone’s carefully constructed online content.
How I got into Blogging/Instagramming
I started my Instagram account the very morning I decided to quit my job in order to pursue a career in something I loved: health & fitness. I joined Instagram because I thought it was the done thing to do as a Personal Trainer. I didn’t set out with a specific plan or mission, I didn’t decide to be #antifitspo, I didn’t wake up and think I’m going to be funny today, I just posted what I wanted to post. My account isn’t ‘BAN HASS PT’, it’s just BAN HASS, because it’s who I am, not what I do. And sometimes, that involves posting a not-so-fitspo selfie of my big bad-ass bloated belly for the world to see.
Over the past year, I’ve discovered that there are so many things I want to put out there. I noticed that my Instagram posts started getting longer. Captions started becoming essays. Essays became dissertations. Starting a blog was something that had been on my mind for years, but it was fear that stopped me. Fear of not being able to present a message the way I want it to be heard. Fear of not being able to get the words down. Fear of it not being perfect. I’ve always wanted to write but up until a few years ago I never knew what I wanted to write about. Combining both passions appears to be the logical answer. I’m a baby in the world of blogging but I know this is what I want to be doing & I’m determined to make it a success.
The post you’ll love…
Why? Because it’s true.
