In this article we are catching up with VITL Health, leaders in supplementation in the UK, to talk about the future of the industry, working with instagrammers and much more.

The next two years are full of exciting developments

Clean ingredients lists is exactly where the supplementation industry is going: we’ve shown it is possible to make supplements that are 100% free from bulking agents and fillers (which have been shown to potentially block the absorption of key ingredients) at an accessible price.

We’ll see a lot more at-home testing of blood and DNA to get a better understanding of what dietary and lifestyle choices are best for each individual (and you won’t have to wait too long either, watch this space!)

The VITL app already allows us to fully personalise each person’s experience.

We wanted it to feel like having a Whatsapp conversation with a trusted nutritionist so you could rest assured that all the advice and analysis is tailored to you and your lifestyle.

That way it makes it much easier to make and stick to new healthy habits. There’s so much information out there but it’s not always easy working out what applies specifically to you without paying upwards of £100 for a consultation with a nutritionist, and we wanted to make that experience accessible to all.

Despite being already a crowded market, we launched our protein powders, but with a clear aim in mind

Unlike the majority of protein powders on the market, VITL Protein Superblends are non-GMO and free of preservatives, emulsifiers and artificial thickening agents such as maltodextrin and maize starch.

Additionally, each 25g serving provides 17g of pure protein and is enriched with carefully selected vitamins and minerals (in their most absorbable forms) to support protein synthesis, energy levels, and a healthy metabolism.

Each serving also provides 50% of the recommended daily intake of:

  • Zinc, which contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and protein synthesis
  • Selenium and vitamins C & E: antioxidants to protects cells from oxidative stress and damage from free radicals, which can occur during training
  • Vitamin B6 & B12 to support a healthy metabolism, nervous system, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
  • Magnesium to help balance and restore electrolytes lost through sweating
  • Vitamin D3 to support bones and the normal function of the immune system
  • Chromium to support the maintenance of blood glucose levels

On average, people only report ‘feeling 100%’ 171 days a year and we don’t think that’s good enough.

Our core message is that you deserve to feel 100% more often.

We recently collaborated with the brilliant Alli Godbold Dip ION mBANT CNHC who is an incredibly experienced nutritionist (qualified in ‘92!) who helped us create a range of delicious, healthy meal plans targeted at specific health concerns, e.g weight loss, energy levels, stress, immunity etc for our VITL Pro subscribers (the upgraded version of the app, from only £2.99 a month)
