Each March, Animal Aid’s Veggie Month provides an opportunity to emphasise the positive benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle and diet.

Earlier this week we gave you a selection of vegetarian recipes being whipped up by our wonderful community of creators. There were so many to choose from we thought we’d treat you to another batch, and this time we’re emphasising the sweet!

Chocolate Chip Chickpea Cookies

Thought chickpeas were just for making hummus? Think again! Sinead from Delalicious has crafted her chickpeas into tasty cookies. Definitely having more than one of them at a time! Get the recipe here.

Mango Yogurt Parfait with Caramelised Oats

There is nothing elaborate and fancy to do in the recipe, all you need is mango pulp, yoghurt and caramelised oats and bingo just arrange your layers. For a busy weekday mornings this parfait is an easy and nutritious way to start your day from Sapana from Cooking With Sapana. Get the recipe here.

Vegan Chocolate Torte with Pecan Crust

It might be made from mostly fruit and nuts, but Natalie from The Tofu Diaries assures us this recipe is as chocolatey as any chocolate torte out there. It’s also incredible easy to make and only requires a food processor or high-powered blender. Get the recipe here.

No bake healthy brownie bites

Fruity Sasha brings us a hybrid between the classic raw vegan bliss balls and raw chocolate fudge in this mouth watering recipe. Even she is still shocked by how well they resemble the classic fudgy brownie texture and flavour! Give them a go for yourself, the recipe is here.
