February is the month of LOVE – for others and for yourself, of course. There are so many exciting ways to celebrate this month that go beyond Valentine. For a starter, we have our very own self-love campaign for Reclaim your Day off.

We also must highlight that the 5th February is World Nutella day – we just had to mention it, really.

Did you know that February is also International Boost Self-Esteem Month?

No, we did not know either!

Pancake & Banana Bread Day (US)

Foodies, rejoice! In the space of 10 days you’ll be able to celebrate pancake day (13/02) and banana bread day (US 23/02). These are perfect occasions to share your top recipes and use relevant hashtags, so mark them down in your calendar!

St. Valentines

St. Valentines (14/02) is about love in every form, so why not sharing how you are going to love others and yourself this month? We asked the community to share their love of food, which is definitely in line with what the HBC is about!

Eating Disorder Awareness Week

Eating Disorders Awareness Week is an international awareness week (starting 26/02), and every year Beat focuses on issues that matter to people affected by eating disorders. Past awareness weeks have focused on self-esteem, eating disorders in the workplace, and the importance of good understanding of eating disorders among GPs. We have carried out surveys, run petitions, spoken to media outlets, and addressed parliament in a bid to raise awareness of eating disorders and encourage understanding and compassion towards those affected.

Random acts of kindness

International Book Giving Day takes place on 14th February each year. The aim? To get books into the hands of as many children as possible. International Book Giving Day is a 100% volunteer initiative aimed at increasing children’s access to and enthusiasm for books.

Random Acts on Kindness is a yearly kindness celebration – kicking off on Sunday February 11th. Help turn the world kind by celebrating RAK Day and RAK Week. Another great deed for all the girls out there, is the Introduce a Girl to Engineering campaign (22/02): the campaign helps focus a growing movement to inspire girls’ futures so they learn they have a place in engineering a better world. In just one day you can make a difference by sharing your knowledge, experience, and some fun!
