Welcome to our New Blogger Spotlight. In this feature, we look through the newest bloggers to the community who have introduced themselves in the New Bloggers thread on the HBC Forum. We then pick some of our favourite blogs that show the most promise to be featured on the HBC magazine.

For as long as I can remember, I have suffered from digestive issues which I would later find out was down to that lovely thing called IBS and a few very inconvenient allergies…. so long ice-cream!
I started on a mission to heal my gut through nutrition and was amazed at the results.
I decided I wanted to make it my life’s work to help others in a similar position. I am currently studying to become a Nutritional Therapist and hope to specialise in digestive disorders, allergies and preventative nutrition.
Five years ago I didn’t really understand anything about nutrition and I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to admit to having IBS or a lactose intolerance.
People assume it’s all embarrassing smelly wind and diarrhoea. It can be that, but it is so much more. I want to educate people about our second brain – the gut, and how looking after it can greatly improve our quality of life.
I also want to simplify nutrition.
I think a lot of people are afraid of it; they can’t cook the fancy recipes they see in glossy healthy cookery books and they think they have to have expensive tools and ingredients. I want my blog and social media to appeal to all and show that good nutrition is accessible to everyone.
I originally started my Instagram account to share nutrition related posts like recipes with friends.
However, as I saw the followers grow I knew I had something a wider audience was interested in. This motivated me to start a blog, somewhere I could really connect with my audience. Although my blog is very new, I have lots of ideas in the bank ready to share.
I’m very excited to watch it grow with the help and advice from all of my fellow bloggers in the HBC.
