Welcome to our New Blogger Spotlight. In this feature, we look through the newest bloggers to the community who have introduced themselves in the ‘New Bloggers‘ group. We then pick some of our favourite blogs that show the most promise to be featured on the HBC magazine. If you’re new to the community, check out our ‘Getting Started‘ guidelines, which have lots of advice on how to make the most of the platform and share your blog. Or, if you’re ready to start your own blog, try our ‘Zero to Hero‘ beginner’s blogging course in the HBC Academy!
Sarah from Growing Butterfly – About Me
I’m a Staffordshire based personal trainer, aspiring health & wellbeing coach and blogger, using my personal adversities to inspire others to improve their relationships with their body and minds.
My soul aim is to empower others to have a more positive relationship with themselves, in both body and mind. Having gone through a lot of personal adversity, suffering from an eating disorder and clinical depression, I know all too well how painful it can be to be a prisoner of your own mind. By overcoming the odds, I wish to use those years of suffering to improve the quality of services and raise more awareness for mental health, as I am a huge believer in ‘mind over matter’.
By becoming a part of the health & fitness industry, I hope to make a difference and give people a place to feel connected with others who are experiencing similar problems or difficulties. This is why I have created the ‘Be REAL’ Project, which hopes to create a community of like-minded individuals who wish to build a healthier, happier and sustainable lifestyle.
How I got into Blogging/Instagramming
It all began with trying to recover from my eating disorder. Somewhere along the way, I started to discover who I really am, what I really wish to do in life and how much I want to help others to discover their own self-confidence by learning to love who they truly are.
The post you’ll love…
There are quite a few posts that mean a lot to me, but one of my most recent ones is based on ‘Finding Self-Confidence‘. It has taken a lot of time, patience and determination to get to a point where I can safely say that I love myself, unconditionally. Here I share how I was able to do this for myself – hopefully my readers can take something away from it too.
