13th May is International Hummus Day. That’s right: a whole day dedicated to the delicious chickpea snack!

We couldn’t let this significant occasion pass without doing a round up from the HBC Community, featuring the best hummus recipes you had to offer! Turns out there’s some really creative hummus lovers out there, just take a look and see:

Baba Ghanoush Hummus

Rebecca from Strength and Sunshine has combined two of the best dips to make this baba ghanoush hummus. Packed with aubergine and chickpeas, this gluten-free, vegan and nut-free recipe helps you get up your veggie and protein intake in one hit! Get the recipe here.

Peanut Butter Hummus

This amazing peanut butter recipe was created by Ayten from Eat Nourish Love and featured by Rachel on the Healthy and Psyched blog for her very own Peanut Butter Week! Ayten recommends adding a small amount of date syrup for sweetness, plus a little black pepper for that peppery kick. Get the recipe here.

Jenny and Mimi from the Naughty Nutritionists love hummus so much they swear they could eat it by the tub. So they took matters into their own hands to make a healthy and delicious hummus, free from additives and preservatives that many supermarket brands use. Get the recipe here.
