Today we get to know one of our incredible influencers from our crew. We discuss with Jessica and Flora about their plans for 2018.

Jess from Choosing Chia

Don’t settle for anything and always make sure you genuinely like a brand or product if you are going to promote it.

How do you get work for your blog?

I work with brands through collaborative posts on my Instagram page and blog. I love to create recipes mainly with products I love using!

This recipe is so simple, quick, and easy to make (check it on my blog)!

One tip to combine your projects and your daily life?

The nice thing about creating food content is that you have to eat anyways every day! So I’ll often think about what I would want for breakfast or dinner and create content based on that.

What have you been struggling with in the past?

Still staying true to your own brand! You have to find a happy balance between giving a client what they want but not sacrificing who you are. I always make sure to have enough freedom as a creator to create something that I love and that I know will resonate with my followers

Any notable collaborations you loved recently?

I think it must have been with Kitchenaid for their pro series blender. I’ve always loved Kitchenaid products so I was really excited to work with them. I also use the blender literally every single day so it felt like some really genuine to share.

Know what you want to get out of the collaboration and stay authentic.

How do you get work for your blog?

Either through my agency or through longer-term friendships (obsessions) with other brands Planning and hard work.

One tip to combine your projects and your daily life?

The more planning there is, the less hard work it is.

What have you been struggling with in the past?

Encouraging them to give me creative control – I know what my audience like a lot better than they do. And being firm when it comes to asking for re-shoots – if the brief is clear enough there should never be a need for re-shoots.

Any notable collaborations you loved recently?

Ellesse – it’s a brand I’ve been obsessed with for ages, and for them to ask me to work with them was (literally) a dream come true. Their clothes are incredible and I love the whole PR team!
