Check out our healthy round-up on where to EAT, MOVE and CHILL in our homeland – HONG KONG!

EAT

Cupping room
Always start your morning by grabbing a coffee here; with a hint of Australian vibes, they serve one of the best quality single-origin coffees in town. Focusing not only on their quality, but also the ambience and vegan-friendly food options, they currently have 3 branches around town. The one on Wellington has always been a go-to for us, but if you’re hoping to beat the suits crowd, the branch in Sheung Wan has a nice and chillaxed vibe as well!
Cupping Room Central, G/F, 18 Cochrane Street, Central, 2511 3518
Cupping Room Sheung Wan, Shop LG, 287-299 Queen’s Road Central, Sheung Wan, 2799 3398; http://www.facebook.com/CuppingRoomHK

Mana!
Think raw, earthy and #ommm, this one’s for the absolute health junkies. This vegan joint serves organically inspired, locally produced vegan and raw SLOW food, but fast! And their raw dessert counter is to die for!

Pololi
Who doesn’t love Pololi! The first Hawaiian poke shack in town serves raw, deliciously marinated fresh tuna. Diners can choose between salad, rice or a mixture of both, then select proteins out of the 8 choices – tuna, octopus, tofu, etc. And of course can’t forget their signature sauces like ‘Hong Kong style’ (soy sauce + cucumber) or slightly spicy ‘wasabi mayo’!
Kar Ho Building, 35-39 Graham St, Central; 2755-8099; www.pololikai.com

MOVE

Yoga Bam Bam
One of our favourites in town, this is a zen studio with a real community vibe and fun, friendly instructors. They also offer niche classes like acro-yoga, aerial with silks and integral yoga combining meditation and breathing exercises!
28 Pound Lane & 10 Shin Hing St, Sheung Wan; www.yogabambam.com

Barre2Barre
Compared to many other cities, barre has been pretty new to HK, but this ballet-inspired studio has quickly won the hearts of many fitness junkies out here! If you’re opting for workouts that improve your strength and flexibility, go for their unique BarreAmped classes! The barre bootcamp and barre+yoga are also among some of our favourite workouts!
