My dietary lifestyle
We are a plant powered family. My diet is mainly vegan with some rare exceptions. I use honey, eggs or some cheese only if really I know they are responsibly sourced, which is rather difficult. I do however avoid animal product in our daily meals and in my cakes. Also I include Macrobiotic and Ayurveda dishes in our weekly diet. My cooking is, without exception, sugar free.
My day always starts with tepid water and some green veggies in various forms, from smoothie to blanched with a miso dressing. I love breakfast, it is a ritual in my house, and everyday we change the menu. It often involves a few different homemade granolas, vegan yoghurt, a lot of vegetables, fruit and seeds. I don’t eat cakes for breakfast. Only during the rest of the day!
My Protein Powered Almond Bomb Cake is my fave recipe, it’s the most popular one among family and friends. The combination of flavours just work so well. The rich sweet sponge contrasts with the tangyness of nut-cheese – it’s heavenly. I love the challenge of making very good gluten-free recipes, and on that front, this is an absolute winner.
