Foodie Spotlight: Agata of Cinnamon and Berries

Hi! I am Agata. I am an 18 year old girl from Poland. I am passionate about healthy living and plant-based food. I have a doggie,”Tofik”. We call him “berry lover” because he loves berries just like me! 🙂

I can’t exactly define my dietary lifestyle. Most people think that I am vegan but I’m not. Of course I eat mostly plant-based, healthy and colourful food which I love, but if I crave for something unhealthy or a dairy product like cottage cheese, I just eat it. I think that our body knows best what we should eat and how we should live, so I am listening to it. I try not to make any restrictions.

The recipe you’ll love…

My favourite recipe is for salted caramel raw bliss balls with mini marshmallows.
It is my favourite recipe because the bliss balls are really healthy but taste like normal sweets. Plus they are 100% plant-based.

You’ll need:
2 cup of oats
200g of dates (about 40 small pieces)
4 tbs of natural peanut butter
3 tbs of melted coconut oil
1 tbs of baobab powder
salt
tbs of maple syrup
handful of mini marshmallows (or just chopped big ones )

Method:
So firstly you have to soak dates for 5 hours or all night ( it works the same). When your dates are ready, blend them until smooth. Next, blend the oats into a flour. Put mixed dates and oat flour in to big bowl. Add 3 tbs of peanut butter, 1 tbs of baobab powder,  2 pinches of salt, 2 tbs of coconut oil. Mix it with hands and form into balls. Remember to add one marshmallow inside every ball. To make caramel sauce, mix 1 tbs of maple syrup, a tbs of melted coconut oil, a pinch of salt and 1 tbs of peanut butter. Top balls with sauce and marshmallows.
