There are so many myths about what exercise is safe to do in pregnancy.  No expectant mother wants to do anything that might harm her child, and the commonly held perception is that pregnancy is a time to put your feet up and rest. During my first pregnancy I continued to go to the gym and modified my workout for the stage of pregnancy.  I exercised regularly until my 38th week, and I got a LOT of funny looks from the other gym goers when I was there.  I also swam regularly and was in the pool the day before I went into hospital to have my daughter.  I truly believed that labour was going to be the hardest physical challenge I had ever faced (I wasn’t wrong!), and I wanted to be in the best shape I could possibly be for it. Health – My IBD Journey – Pennysgreen Lifestyle

When it comes to health this is a much more difficult area to address in a “green Lifestyle”. We go to our GP to get a diagnosis as anyone would, however once diagnosed we now look at things a little differently, with a great deal of research and double checking we find an alternative to modern medicine, usually we change our diet, add a supplement or a herbal remedy, with so far impressive results.  To explain how we got to thinking like this, I’m sharing my own health diagnosis of IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease – not IBS), currently it has no known cause or cure; it’s not catching and can be very debilitating; and life threatening.
