On Thursday 7th December, we’ll be exploring the mystery behind Instagram for Health and Wellness brands.

We’ll be joined by Araminta Sheridan and Kat from yogi startup Yogi Bare, to discuss all things Instagram and the latest updates.

In a 1996 essay, Bill Gates famously declared that ‘Content is King’ – and it’s even more important today.

Original content can boost visibility, generate SEO, and help your brand engage with consumers.

According to Google’s stats, one in 20 searches is health-related, making around 200 million health and wellness searches every single day. That’s huge, and means content – even really great content – can get lost in the crowd.

Since each piece is valuable and takes time to create, I’ve made a checklist of ways to enhance its reach and make sure you’re using your content to its fullest potential.

Create a blog post or video, which is, of course, a great way to drive consumer traffic to your website. You can also use it in a newsletter – for great newsletter ideas check this article.

Share it on Social Media

  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • LinkedIn Pulse
Instagram Stories

You can announce it on your stories, or summaries it in a series of 2-5 story posts.

Recycle it

Adapt the title to reflect current trends or share it on relevant ‘marketing days’ throughout the year.

For example: if it’s relevant for National Fitness Day, it might be relevant for #MondayMotivation or Stress Awareness Day

Check it and update with relevant links and examples – or even rewrite it if circumstances change!

Change the format: summarise your article in an infographic, put it into a newsletter, or talk about it in a podcast.

Combine it with other posts to create how-to guides, and ff your content was in video form, or create GIFs. Take segments or moments, or ‘zoom’ in and out to explore different parts in more detail.
