Who doesn’t like chocolate? Come on admit it, you love it, don’t you? I mean chocolate is probably the most delicious thing ever.

So I though ‘why shouldn’t I get my chocolate fix first thing in the morning by including it in an energising breakfast bowl?’ That was how I came up with this heavenly creamy chocolate coconut porridge that literally tastes, smells and looks like dessert. Yet you won’t be sluggish and tired after eating it, but rather energised and ready for a productive day. Just perfect for those cold winter mornings we’ll soon be having plenty of. Comforting, energising and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 cup quick oats
  • 1⁄4 cup coconut rice milk
  • 2/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut milk
  • 2 squares of 99% chocolate
  • 1-2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coconut chips

Method

Add the oats, coconut rice milk and the water as well as the cacao powder into a saucepan and cook your porridge over medium low heat while continuously stirring. When your oats have soaked up all the liquid pour in the coconut milk for ultimate creamy ness and stir it in.

Pour your porridge into a bowl and top with the chocolate, pomegranate seeds and coconut chips. Enjoy!
